PARAT Technology and Liebherr have already realised many projects in their long-standing collaboration.The latest milestone is a completely new compact excavator for which PARAT has developed and manufactured the bonnet, side door and other components.
All components are designed to be stable, robust and at the same time cost-effective to produce. LFI (Long Fibre Injection) technology was chosen as the ideal solution for the bonnet, as the fibre-reinforced plastic components optimally meet the customer's technical requirements. The design freedom of LFI makes it possible to specifically replace metal parts and only use them where they are really necessary.
The project is characterised by a completely revised design with striking and innovative shapes.

What Is Thermoforming?
Thermoforming of plastics is a thermoforming process in which preheated plastic sheets are precisely shaped using vacuum. It enables the cost‑efficient production of stable plastic components with a high degree of design freedom.
The process is particularly suitable for medium production volumes, short development cycles, and complex or large‑surface components with high‑quality visible surfaces—such as claddings, covers, and interior and exterior parts.

All thermoformed components and production scrap are 100% recyclable, making thermoforming a resource‑efficient and sustainable plastic processing method.

Our facility in Szügy is one hour and a half’s drive north of Budapest, near the Slovakian border. With state-of-the-art machinery, we manufacture thermoforming parts, (R)RIM and RIM components as well as textile plastic composites.
Sighișoara is located in Midwest Romania. You reach our site within an hour and a half’s drive from Sibiu. In the traditional textile stronghold of Sighișoara, we produce technical textile components that meet the highest requirements. If textiles need to be beyond mere fabric, then you are in good hands at PARAT Technology in Romania.
Our Nantong site ranks among the most advanced production and development facilities in the world for the production of fiber-reinforced composites. Getting there is an easy way true to the ancient Chinese proverb: No road is long with a friend by your side.
